California Enacts Bicyclist Protection Law

California has enacted as law Assembly Bill 1371 titled “Three Feet For Safety” to protect bicyclists on California roads and highways. Family of 64-year-old man receives 2 Million Dollar Wrongful Death Settlement

The negligent driver (Mr. Roe) was proceeding at a high speed when he lost control of his vehicle, crossed the center median, and struck the vehicle driven by Mr. Doe (the 64-year-old victim) in a horrific violent collision that caused the immediate death of both drivers. Several other vehicles were also involved causing injuries to the drivers of those vehicles. According to police investigative documents, the retired football player (Mr. Roe) had an extremely high blood alcohol level of more than twice the legal limit.
